Marketing

Not re-inventing the wheel can save you lots of time and money!

Marketing on the Internet isn't all that different from the “ordinary” marketing you are probably doing already. The primary difference is that online marketing means you'll be trying to attract people from all over the globe as opposed to only from your local area.

You will also find a few differences in the ways you approach bringing new traffic to your site, getting them to look around and buy. In order to accommodate these new approaches, you may need some new skills which you can usually pick up by reading and posting to online marketing forums.
A wide array of these forums exist to help you, but beware some are also places where “free” advice doesn’t always mean FREE. On some sites, once you opt in you will be asked politely or badgered into parting with your money for something that you thought was free!

Since you can’t be entirely sure that their information is going to be helpful, you might want to try out your own ideas first as well as visiting the various marketing sites to get tips on how other people built up their traffic, the problems they ran into and how the solutions they found worked. On many forums you ask questions and other forum members give you the benefit of their experiences by answering your question, giving out links to software or other sites that might help you further.

Below are sites you might like to visit and the people are (reasonably) willing to help newcomers to the online marketing world. These links include work-at-home opportunities as well as how to market your products and services:
